Best Christmas ever! Omaha
I believe Christmas of 1965 or 1966 I’m’ not sure.
Jessie, Don and Darrell arrived before Christmas and spent the holidays with us. I believe it was the first time the boys ever touched snow. We played hard and had a lot of fun I remember Don going outside for hours on end sticking a cork gun in the snow and shooting snow out of it. Jessie gave everybody like a ten dollar bill, probably more like a hundred in todays money, we were suppose to draw names and such. We all went on a shopping spree in Omaha, and as a child I cannot ever remember having so much fun in my entire life. I remember playing mouse trap for the first time and plenty of other games. But it all started with the generosity of Jessie, she was so loving and kind to us all and we had never had money given to us like that before. There is a lot more memories to this Christmas than I can I can tell you! It almost seems like yesterday. I’m very sorry for your loss.
