Kenneth Primer, of 4485 Porter Street, Fremont, passed away at his home on August 1, 2020.

Born in Sacramento, California in 1965 to Paul Primer and Patricia Babbitt, he grew up in Urbana, Illinois, gained a degree in Education from the Eastern Illinois University, and taught History and English in Alum Rock Elementary School District for 19 years.

 

Ken was an avid tabletop gamer, gardener, and hiker who did his best to pass on his love of
history to his students.
In 1995 he went to Japan to teach English, and brought back his bride, Terumi Primer.

He is survived by his wife, Terumi Primer, daughter, Hanako Primer, and his brother and sisters, Russell Primer, Cal Primer, and Pamela Walker.

  1. CandleKen was a great friend growing up. Although adult life separated us, as happens with so many we still care about. When I think on Ken’s passing, the World seems emptier and I am profoundly sad. God bless Terumi.

  7. CandleYes I miss him he was funny I was messing around in school but I did respect him I love the that he checked Me and he was funny and gave us candy 🍭 but he was a cool teacher I bless his family I pray for all his love ones 🙏🏽

  8. CandleI was in his 6th grade history class I am now in 7th grade I remember he has a very funny teacher he always managed to make class fun and I’m very sorry for anyone who knew him 😔

  9. CandleKen was a colleague, a neighbor, and a friend of mine in Japan. I have only just heard the sad news so it’s quite a shock but I remember some good times and what a genuinely nice man he was.
