Leland Goularte

Leland Goularte was born 12/09/1920 in Warm Springs, CA. to Jack & Adelade Goularte & was one of 15 children. He passed away peacefully on 4/29/2014 in Placerville, CA. Leland was a highly decorated World War II Veteran. After a 30 year career at NASA, he retired & began to travel, with his wife Gennelle, throughout the U.S. in their motorhome, & spent numerous winters in Hawaii. Leland is survived by his daughter Zelma Lee Leahy & her husband Tom, sons Leland, Jr., Darrell & his wife Charmian, Michael & his wife Debbie & his brother Lionel Goularte, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grand children, one great, great grand child & many many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by Gennelle, his wife of 65 years, & 13 brothers & sisters. He was a wonderful husband, dad, brother, grandpa & uncle. He will be dearly missed. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 16th at 9:00 AM at The Mission Church, in Fremont, CA. His immediate family will gather for a private burial.
