Lena Margaret Caruso

Lena M. Caruso entered peacefully into rest March 3, 2013 in Fremont, CA. Born September 21, 1913, she was 99. Loving wife of the late William Caruso. Beloved mother of Dottie Ringle of Dublin, Ca, Bill Caruso and wife Jaynee of Castro Valley, CA. Devoted grandmother of Denise Camara, Debbie Ruiz, Dale Sequeira, Billy Caruso Jr., Juli Nirschl and a great-grandmother of 9. The family would like to thank Rose Toribio for her loving care of Lena for the last three years. Lena was an avid Oakland A's fan. She enjoyed traveling with her friends to Cache Creek Casino where she played the slot machines till she was 98. She was a member of St. Joseph's parish and a devoted member of Retail Clerks Union #870. Family and friends are invited to a visitation Thursday, March 7th from 4:00-8:00 P.M, with a 7:00 PM Vigil, held at Berge- Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA. Mass of Resurrection will be 9:00 AM Friday, March 8th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 43148 Mission Blvd., Fremont, CA. 94539 Remembrances can be made as flowers or to St. Joseph Parish.
