Lena Olivia Zeiher

Lena Lorenzi Zeiher died at her home in Fremont, Ca on April 12 at the age of 90. She was born in Santa Cruz, CA to Battista and Angiolina Lorenzi and grew up on a ranch near Davenport. Lena attended local schools graduated Santa Cruz High School and a local business school. For many years she was employed with Santa Cruz Artichoke and Sprout Growers Association. In February 1958 she married Kurt Zeiher and shortly thereafter they purchased a house in Fremont where she lived the rest of her life. She was employed as a bookkeeper at a local construction company for many years in the Fremont area leaving the business world in the late 70's to enjoy her love of gardening. She grew flowers and vegetables which she shared with friends and neighbors. Survivors include her husband Kurt Zeiher of Fremont, a brother Gino (Bernice) of Visalia, CA and his children: Edward (Janeen) of Visalia, CA, Kurt (Robin) of Mill Valley, CA and Jeffrey (Marie) of Turlock, CA and grand-neices and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Battista and Angiolina Lorenzi and a grandnephew, Tyler Lorenzi. Services will be held on Friday, April 26 at St. Joseph's Church in Mission San Jose. Burial will follow in Santa Cruz.
