  1. My very deepest condolence goes to Mai, Ted and his family. I had the great privilege to work with Mai over several years with the County of Santa Clara. Although her
working title was not as an engineer, she was the consummate engineer with extensive and detailed knowledge of Planning rules and requirements.

She would anticipate my questions related to Planning and Land Development like Kasparov is to Watson, with analytical reasoning and citation of Ordinances. But unlike Watson, it was always done with humor, humility and humanity.

Mai, you were a bright star in our live who shined the way, but was
extinguished much, much too soon. We shall miss you !!

  2. I’m very sad to her of Mai’s passing. She was a wonderful person and a true friend. I’ll miss her…

  3. It was a pleasure knowing Mai and working with her, as well. She is one of the kindest and most considerate people I have ever met. I know her as a great mother and wife, and great employee of the county, as well. The world needs more people like Mai.

  4. My deepest sympathies to Ted, Canti, Mindy, and the rest of the family. I worked with Mai longer than I have worked with anyone else, and I found Mai to be kind, compassionate, and professional. I am saddened on her passing.
