Manuel Travis Medeiros, Jr (also known as Deputy Dog), 68, passed away on February 20, 2014 in Fremont, CA. He was born on December 12, 1945 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Manuel Travis and Mary Goulart Medeiros.Manuel married Linda Marie Scott in 1972 in Reno, Nevada. They were happily married for 41 years.Manuel is survived by his spouse Linda of Fremont, CA; his children Julie, Michael and Jennifer Medeiros; his sister Betty (and Barry) Soares of Blackhawk, CA.Manuel retired from FedEx Freight (previously known as Viking Freight Systems) after working for the company for 38 years. He enjoyed bowling and watching horse racing.A visitation will be held at Chapel of the Angels (40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538) at 5pm-8pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. A funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (42500 Gatewood St, Fremont, CA 94538) at 10am on Thursday, February 27, 2014.
