Marcelino Alves Ferreira

Marcelino Ferreira peacefully passed away on January 5, 2014. Born on October 25, 1932 in Rego Fafe, Portugal to Bernardino and Maria Joaquina Ferreira.Beloved husband of Adelaide Ferreira. Loving father of Fernando Ferreira and wife Ema of Fremont and Adelaide Dias and husband John of Newark. Loving brother of Albertina Ferreira of Portugal. Cherished grandfather of Debbie, Jason, Janelle and Nicole.Marcelino worked for FMC for 14 years and was a member of Luso American Fraternal Society. He was a big soccer fan, like to hunt, and enjoyed playing cards and Dominoes.Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, January 12th from 1:00 - 5:00 pm with a 4:00 pm vigil at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA. A 10:30 am Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, January 13th at St. Edwards Catholic Church, 5788 Thornton Ave., Newark, CA.
