Marguerite Lucienne Laloian

Marguerite Lucienne Laloian, 91, of Manville, Rhode Island, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014. Daughter of Adolphe and Lucienne Bell, loving wife of Peter Laloian, passed away peacefully at her residence in Fremont, CA. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Martin (husband Doug) and her three grandchildren, Nicolas (fiance Kira), Andrew, and Marissa as well as two sisters, Germaine Menard (husband Marcel), and Claudette Laliberte (husband Roger). She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews and many friends. Marguerite owned her own beauty salon at age 17, and four years later married her sailor Peter in 1944, at which time they lived where the Navy took them, including Guam and Puerto Rico, Kansas and San Diego. They finally settled in Santa Clara, CA, where they lived happily raising their daughter. In their retirement years, they moved back to Lincoln, Rhode Island where they enjoyed time with family. Marguerite lived the last three years with her Doug and Renee and then at Aegis of Fremont, where she received loving care. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels on Friday, September 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Ambrose Church, Albion, Rhode Island. Burial to follow.
