Martin Sweeney

martin sweeney

Martin is survived by his loving wife, 8 children, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He loved traveling; whether is was through Europe, Africa or road tripping through the United States and Canada. His favorite sport was soccer, he especially loved Liverpool. Martin was a mentor to so many people. The only thing to overshadow his strength was his kind heart. Martin had the ability to find beauty in the simple things. He found joy working in his garden and making friends with the many hummingbirds that would visit his flowers. He touched so many lives and we are all better off for knowing him.

  1. CandleRest in a peaceful place with such good memories of the love you have from your family.

  2. CandleCondolences to the Sweeney family. Our families have been friends for a very long time and you are like family to us. We are saddened to hear of Marty’s passing, lots of great memories camping, Christmas eves, and daily visits to my parents house for toast and coffee. We called Marty, Benny, and my dad “The Breakfast club”
Our prayers are with all of you and we will always be here for you!
May our dads be together right now in heaven and having a great time together as always!!
    Much Love,
    Debbie, Colin, Matt, Lindsay Anderson

  3. CandleCondolences to Sweeney family.
Benny met Marty along Howard every morning for many years where the three of them Had coffee, ate toast and talked. They often hit the pick and pull
Which I said was their Bloomingdale’s.
    He will be missed.

    God bless

    Benny and Teri Berch
