Mason Yi Woodford was born on October 24, 1963 in Seoul, Korea to William and Tae Woodford. He lived in South Korea until he was a sophomore in high school, then moved with his family to Omaha, Nebraska. Mason was a loving, devoted and proud father of two beautiful daughters, Tina and Stacey Woodford, who he loved more than anything in this world. Mason devoted himself to taking care of and looking after his family, including his mother, Tae, and his two dogs, Ellie and Sophie. Mason was a committed and loving partner to his fiancé, Penny McDaniel. He loved the sanctuary of his home and garden that he created and to which he tended every day. He worked hard, played and exercised hard and loved learning, exploring and debating ideas with friends, colleagues and family. Mason was proud to be an American and had immense pride in his country. He firmly believed that everyone should know the history of this country and the world.

Mason completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Berkeley, and his graduate studies at Dartmouth College. He enjoyed playing racquetball and received awards for his competitive achievements in tournaments.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and relaxing in his garden.
Mason will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. His life force was and remains strong and his spirit is all around and within those who knew and loved him. We will all meet again.
