May Oy (Wong) Ho
October 17, 1929 ~ July 21, 2014
Resided in:
Fremont, CA
May Oy Ho was a Loving wife & mother born on October 17, 1929 in China, Guangdong Province, Sun Wui . She arrived in San Francisco in October of 1948, lived in Fresno, California until she met & married her husband Robert Yee Ho in 1952. She was a passionate mother to her four children: Wayland, Harmon, Kirby & Angela born in 1952, 1953, 1956 & 1960, was the caring older sister to her brothers Donald & Edwin Wong, and the proud grandmother to Alexander & Emily Ho (children of Wayland & Regina of Union City-CA). She was also the mother-in-law to Regina Chan-Ho, Patrick Faris, Kathryn Clements (formerly Kathy Ho, deceased), and Gustina Tan Ho.
May created & maintained new households over the years as a dedicated & consumate homemaker throughout her life for her family as they had extended stays (moved) over the 62 years between San Luis Obispo-Calif, San Francisco-Calif, Oahu-Hawaii, Foster City-CA, Washington DC-Maryland, and Fremont-Calif, making friends and associations with many over that period.
Besides residing in those many nicer places around America, May enjoyed travels to China, Hong Kong, Hawaii & Alaska in the last 15 years. May suffered a stroke in 2007, so that limited much her activities in the last 7 years.
With her many residences over the earlier years, May enjoyed many new acquaintances and lasting friendships from her memberships in the Foster City Chinese Club, The East Coast Chinese Club, and the Alameda County South Bay Chinese Club.
Besides family, Home & Food was central to everything done in her life. May thoroughly enjoyed cooking lots of food (especially Chinese) and feeding the family and friends around at the time. She drew great satisfaction from seeing the smiles on everyone's face during a meal.
May she rest in Peace.
