Michael Aylward passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 19 at his home in Oakland, CA. Michael was the son of Barbara and Walt Aylward. He is survived by his wife, Florence, his mother Barbara, his sisters Kathleen Langan, and Aileen Hammar, his brother Peter and nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering to remember Mike on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 1-5 at his childhood home In Fremont. Donations in Michael's name may be made to the
Fremont Animal Shelter, 1950 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont, CA 94538.

My brother, I hope you rest in peace, you will be missed, thank you for your brother-hood and love throughout all the years!
RIP. He passed way too soon and was a great guy. Always quick with a laugh or a smile. I’ll always remember his passion for music and sport and his love of animals. Through his teaching and his coaching, he touched a lot of lives and that legacy will live on.
I miss my best friend. Not a day goes by that I dont break down in tears thinking of the years of good times we’ve had together. My heart goes out to his beautiful wife Flo and the wonderful Aylward family. He will be truly missed by the thousands of people he has touched during his far too short life. Rest in peace my brother.
