Michael ‘Mike’ Tsoumpas of Hayward, CA passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 6, 2022. He was 57 years old. He was born in 1964 to Katina and Costas Tsoumpas in NY and was raised in Flushing, NY.
Mike was an extraordinary man with a warmth greater than the sun. He embraced all in his company with his radiance. He was kind, loving, and caring. He was a Aviation Maintenance Technician for 33 years with United. He was proud of his Greek heritage and his adopted Irish heritage. Mike touched the lives of all he met often through his presence, kind words, sense of humor, and many shared interests. Mike took many adventures often with family and friends. He had a passion for fresh food, cooking, and sharing meals with those he loved. Often Mike and Rosemarie would spend their time together and loved to have adventures whether it was on foot, motorcycle, car, or plane.
He will be greatly missed and his memories treasured by his loving wife, Rosemarie, who loved him dearly. His sister Argy and her husband, Michael Mantikas, their son, John Paul. His brother-in-law Thomas Donohue and his wife, Camille and their children, Joe and Samantha. His sister-in-law Susie Uliano and her husband, Lou and their daughter, Suzanne Demby and husband, James and his grand niece, Sadie. His sister-in-law Donna DiBona, and her husband Joseph, and their children Sara Lugo husband Andrew, Victoria Raso and husband Edward, and Lisa, his goddaughter. Along with a host of aunts and uncles, cousins, cherished friends, neighbors, and coworkers.
He was predeceased by his mother, Katina Tsoumpas, and his in-laws, Sarah and Bernard Donohue.
The family appreciates the out pouring of love and asks in lieu of flowers, donations in Mike’s name may be made to Disabled American Veterans and Tunnel to Towers.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 21, 2022 during the hours of 1:30 – 4:30 PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 3 PM.
