Michele Coveau, entered peacefully into rest on March 4, 2025 in Fremont, CA after a long illness. She was born on May 31, 1949 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Ernest and Satsue Robles. On July 14, 1974 Michele married the love of her life, John Coveau, who passed away on June 1, 2018.

Michele attended Newark High School in Newark, CA and Ohlone College in Fremont, CA. She worked for USGS as a cartographer in Menlo Park, CA and was an admin assistant for the City of San Jose, CA. 

Michele enjoyed gardening, cooking and loved to travel. Michele and John enjoyed over 20 cruises all over the world. She loved trips to Lake Tahoe, Reno and her summer home in Pollock Pines. She was also an active planner of her high school reunions. 

Michele was a kind, thoughtful and caring person. She loved to make people laugh and she always made everything fun. Michele had an overabundance of friends from all over the country and was popular with her friends. She could make friends anywhere she went. Michele had a great memory and could recall events from years gone by which the rest of us had long forgotten. She was a beloved mom, aunt, sister and friend and will be profoundly missed. 

Michele was survived by her loving sons, Scott Coveau of the Czech Republic and Kirk Coveau of Fremont, CA. She was also survived by her sisters, Patricia Ashmore (Ronald) of Henderson, NV, Joann Rodriguez of Fremont, CA, Leslie Normandin (Robert) of Fremont, CA, and Julie Robles of Santa Clara, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband John and her parents, Ernest and Satsue Robles.

Michele’s family extends a grateful thank you to Sita, Dyann, Marge and Sharon for their unwavering support and Dr. Swathi Sangli, Nurse Bernadette and Nurse Daniel of Kaiser Hospital, Fremont, CA.

Michele will be placed at rest beside her beloved John at Alae Cemetery in Hilo, Hawaii. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In celebration of Michele’s life, please perform a random act of kindness.

  3. CandleOh, so many wonderful memories to keep Michele in my thoughts and heart always. As bad as she felt at times through this illness, she could smile and be happy in whatever we were doing. Memories of our trips to the Costco and me teaching her how to use the electric carts! Or giving her a new walker that she forgot to put on the brakes and went flying down the hallway, laughing with her therapist about everything, and even finding a smile at the worst times.

    Michele, you are a beautiful soul and a gracious lady who will be missed dearly. You’ll be in my thoughts daily, especially if I ever do a class reunion again! You swore you’d never do it again, but you were a big help even when you weren’t helping!! I love you Michele, and will forever miss you.

    Finally with John, you can both keep an eye on all of us from up there on you’re heavily post. Rest in peace my buddy💕
