Mike was born on January 23, 1918 in Nokomis, IL and died June 7, 2012 in Fremont, CA. He was a machinist at Lockheed in Sunnyvale, CA from 1967-1983. Mike was a long time resident of Fremont, a member of St. Joseph's Church in Mission San Jose, and the VFW Post 1917 in Fremont. Mike served in the US Navy from 1943 to 1946, serving in Tiburon CA, Pearl Harbor HI and Guam aboard drydock ABSD-3 as a Machinist Mate 3C. Mike married Henrietta Klem of Chicago, IL in January 1948 and had two sons, Michael of Fremont, CA and Robert of San Diego, CA. Mike is survived by his brother Joseph from Stockton, CA. After re- tiring from Lockheed Mike spent his time working at Michael's Pianos in Fremont repairing pianos with his son Michael. Mike was also an avid Oakland A's fan being a season ticket holder from 1988-1998. Mike's other in- terests were gardening and dancing.
Family and friends are invited to attend a 10:00 A.M. Mass of Resurrection on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 43148 Mission Blvd., Fremont.
