Mildred 'Molly' H. Steel entered peacefully into rest July 18, 2013 in Fremont, CA. Born November 8, 1917 in Mission San Jose, CA she was 95 years old. A native of Mission San Jose for 90 years she attended Mission Grammar School and was a graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, S.E.S. Council #8 of Newark, I.D.E.S. Counsel #1 of Mission San Jose, U.P.P.E. Council #16 and the Dominican Guild. Molly loved to play bingo and cards and enjoyed her many trips to Reno, always bringing back the money. Devoted wife of the late Arthur Steel. Beloved mother of Douglas Steel and wife Donna of Boise, ID. Loving grandmother of Michelle Steel-Wood of Boise, ID. Dearest sister of Mervin Santos of Tracy, CA. She was preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Pernez, Verna McBride and Elva Brayevich and brothers William Santos and LeRoy Costa. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 2:30-6:00 p.m. with a 4:00p.m. vigil held at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, CA. Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 24th, held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 43148 Mission Blvd, Fremont. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Dominican Sisters or Sisters of the Holy Family.
