Nels Christian Petersen

Nels Christian Petersen was born in San Jose, CA ti Robert and Marilyn Petersen. Nels spent his younger years in Fremont, CA Where he attended American High School and enjoyed playing football and was on the wrestling team. After leaving Fremont, Nels moved to North Lake Tahoe where he became a well respected mason throughout the Tahoe Basin. Nels displayed his fine craftsmanship in is work; he also helped the local Auburn California Rotary club building a monument sign off the highway 80 interchange at Maple Rd. where all of the local service club signs are diplayed. Above all, Nels was a devoted father to his son Timothy, and steadfast friend to those he loved. Nels is survived by his mother Marilyn Petersen, son Timothy Petersen, and siblings Eric Petersen and his wife Cathy, Bridget Petersen-Powers, Christine Paixao and her husband Daniel. He also has five nieces and nephews: Nolan, Claire, and Emma Petersen, Miquelina and Emily Paixio. He is predeceased in death by his father Robert Nixon Petersen and his son Jacob Petersen. Services will be held at: Trepazzi Trattoria Restaurant, 928 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603, (530)823-2994 at noon on Sunday, December 23, 2012.
