March 2, 1957 ~ November 25, 2020

Born in: San Leandro, California
Resided in: Newark, California

Penny Trant passed away on November 25th at home in Newark being held by many of those who loved her. This would be best written by my mom so the following was a note left in her bible.

Penny Trant lived and loved my family and my faith was so strong and it helped me through it all. My husband is my rock and my one true thing. My family is my hope and my everything. God has blessed me so much! 4ever and ALWAYS

Penny is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ken Trant Jr. She is also survived by her many children and grandchildren both by birth and by love, as well as her fur babies. A silly-bration of her life will be held when appropriate. Hugggz

  1. CandlePenny had such a huge heart and was such a bright light wherever she went. Everyone felt loved by Penny. I especially loved her dry sense of humor and passion for helping others. She was one of my first friends at St. James and she will be truly missed.

  2. CandleMy sweet sister! May you fly with Angels! I will miss those sweet texts and fun conversations but most of all I will just miss YOUđź’—đź’—đź’—đź’—đź’—

  3. CandlePenny was my best friend for nearly 40 years. She first came into my family’s life as my children’s daycare provider but she soon became my sister-from-another-mother! She loved my kids like her own and I loved hers like mine! Penny and Ken took me under their wing and introduced me to karaoke and the rest was history for nearly 10 years of Fridays or Saturdays as she sang her heart out! She loved everyone and they loved her right back, and you always knew when you had been on the receiving end of one of her huge hugs! Ken playing shuffleboard, Penny and I singing at The Kings Inn in Irvington… Those are my cherished memories, celebrating birthdays, holidays, family events or just being with friends and family. Kids grow up to adulthood and become wonderful people and Penny was the core of the Trant Family for all those years, and a key part of so many others as well. Dearest Penny, I miss you every day and know you are looking over your loved ones forever. đź‘Ľ

  4. CandleYou always knew how to make me smile when I was down. I really appreciate you and Ken for opening your home and the love I felt with everyone. I always looked up to you as my second mom! I love and miss you everyday. I remember going to the bar and you always doing karaoke and one of those times I sang with your help to Love shack. Hehe had some really good times.
