Richard Gary Immeker

Richard Gary Immeker, 86, passed away on Feb. 16, 2020, in Fremont, CA with his family at his side.

He was born on Dec. 10, 1933, in Napa, CA to Gerrit and Helen (Towne) Immeker.  He graduated from Vallejo High School, Vallejo, CA in 1951. Gary served in the United States Army as a vehicle mechanic in Germany during the Korean War. He met his wife, Bonnie, in Sacramento, CA whom he married in 1968; and together raised two sons, Shaun and David. Gary received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Jose State University and worked for 35 years in the defense contractor industry. He enjoyed tropical fish, camping, building computers, working in the yard and on cars.

Gary is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bonnie; their cat, Sunshine; sons Shaun (Carolyn)  of Wilton, CA and David (Stephanie Heller) of South Lake Tahoe, CA; grandchildren Amanda, Stephen, Nicole, Ian, and Ethan; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Helen Immeker; and his sister, Marilyn Rasler.

A memorial service will be held on Sat., Mar. 7, 2020 at 11 am, at Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA.
