Rita Hall Sodos

Rita Hall Sodos, a longtime Palo Alto resident, passed peacefully on Feb. 26. She was 85. She grew up in Chicago, IL and attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Education. Rita moved to Palo Alto, California in 1969 and was always involved in community affairs and strived to make the wonderful city of Palo Alto grow and evolve through out the years. She is survived by her three sons and two grandchildren. She loved walking, swimming, bike riding, gardening, reading and flower arranging in addition to doing outdoor activities whenever possible. She was an amazing mom, a lady with a big heart and a great friend. She made it her mission to always think of others needs before her own, very unselfish, patient and most of all LOVING!!!! She fought for what she believed in, was adorable, kind, considerate and above all the greatest mom anyone could ask for. Those of us who knew her will remember the many ways she touched out lived and she will certainly be missed by all.
