Ronald Lee Whigham, 74, beloved brother, father and grandfather passed away at home on May 24, 2015. Ron graduated from Amity High School in College Springs Iowa in 1959. He attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, and earned his Bachelor's degree at Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago IL. He worked as a Consultant Engineer in sound design for most of his career and was the project manager for the innovative Turbosound cluster at the Oakland Alameda Coliseum during major renovations in 1997. Ron was very respected and was well know as one of the best in his industry. Ron was a loving and talented man that dedicated much of his time to church and family. He was a proud member of Centerville Presbyterian Church and served for many years as a deacon. A memorial service will be held at Centerville Presbyterian Church on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 11:00 AM. He is survived by siblings Bob and Janet Whigham of Coin IA; Lyle and Kristy Whigham of Phoenix, AZ; Cheryl and Don Esmond of Corona del Mar, CA; Children Karen and Rich Cassano of Fremont, CA; Kevin and Janet Whigham of Elk Grove, CA; Grandchildren Kyle, Tyler, Hanna, and Tara, and several nieces and nephews.
