Rudy Rodriguez passed away peacefully on November 27, 2020 in Fremont, California. He was born on April 27, 1944 in Fremont Niles district, California to Paul and Georgia Rodriguez. Rudy was a long time Bay Area resident and lived in Alameda county for 76 years.

Rudy is survived by his loving wife, Jo Ann Rodriguez; his daughters Lisa (Erik) Rodriguez, Andrea Rodriguez, his son Rudy D. (Melissa) Rodriguez, and granddaughter Willow Rodriguez. He was proceeded in death by his parents Paul and Georgia Rodriguez.

Rudy was an Airforce Veteran and served from June 1965 until February 1969. He had an AA degree in business management from Ohlone College and was a manager/supervisor for NUMMI. He loved to go to the 49er games, and he was a huge Oakland A’s fan. He also enjoyed playing golf weekly with Tony Garcia, Ernie Banuelos, Gabe Ontiveros, Bob Normandin and Don Bradley. Rudy volunteered as a delivery driver for Meals on Wheels. He loved his children more than anything and went out of his way to help them any way he could.

A celebration for life with be held on a later date for Rudy. He will then be placed at Alae Cemetery in Hilo, Hawaii.

  1. Jeff and I were saddened to hear of Rudy’s passing. It was great to get acquainted at our Logan luncheons. I was in Rosalinda’s class and barely knew Rudy in high school. He hung out in the hall with Tommy,Louie and the guys. Too cool! So happy he was able to see Willow. He’ll be missed.

  3. We always mention Rudy in golf and school conversations. A very sweet man all the time we’ve known him.
