Scott Raymond Christensen passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2024. He was born in Fremont California to Jack and Carolyn Christensen and was an only child.
He is survived by his parents and his two sons, Vincent and Christopher Christensen, four grandchildren, Gracie, Emilio, Nataly, EEVE, and the mother of the children Thalia and grandmother, Luella Gandara, and longtime companion and friend Ahn. He also is survived by his Uncle Richard and Aunt Charlene of Oregon and aunt Sherrill and his cousin, Cherie of Redlands Ca. and many other nephews, nieces and cousins in the Midwest and East Coast. As well as his mentor Steve and all of his brothers in recovery.
Scott grew up playing Little League baseball and was one of the best pitchers and catchers in the leagues he played in. He also played soccer and football. All through his life he loved to fish. He joined the Army Reserves in 1981. Following his time he then went to school to become a CNC Machinist. In his later years he went into the care of Solidarity also known as Alameda House, a recovery center. He shared with his family that one night he heard God call his name and telling him that it was time. He came home and subsequently entered Solidarity. His mentor, Steve was a wonderful counselor and following his recovery Steve encouraged him to enter into college. He earned an AA in substance abuse from Merritt College, subsequently attended Ohlone College and went on to earn a BA degree in Ethnic Studies at U.C. Berkeley. This was a very proud moment in all of our lives. He then worked to receive an ACCBC Addiction counselor certificate while earning his degrees he also worked at Solidarity as the manager helping others overcome their addictions. He loved helping others with their addictions and felt he was needed and doing Gods calling. We are very proud of his accomplishments.
We will miss him more than words can express and envision God wrapping his loving arms around him and welcoming him home.
