Sister Mary Denis died on Tuesday, October 31, at Dominican Sisters’Motherhouse, Saint Martin Residence, in Fremont at the age of 89.Born in Pasadena, CA, Sister Mary Denis was a Dominican Sister for 70 years. Her ministry was Catholic education at St. Elizabeth High School in Oakland, Immaculate Conception Academy in San Francisco, Marycrest High School in Portland, Oregon and many schools in Southern CA. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov.6, 5:00pm at the Dominican Sisters Chapel, 43326 Mission Circle, Fremont. Burial in God’s Acre, the Dominican Sisters Cemetery on Tues., Nov.7.
