Teresa Marie Silva, 58 years of age, passed on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose. Teresa is predeceased by her parents Elias and Jennie Silva, brother Elias Silva Jr and nephew Eleazar Gamez Jr. Teresa is lovingly remembered by her sisters Rosalie Silva (Fremont) and Elvia Mora (Newark), nephew Salvador Mora (Tracee), nieces Carolina Solorio (Abelino), Diana Mora and Eliza Mora, great-nieces Juanita Mora, Isabella Mora, Sonia Solorio, Yazmin Mora, great-nephews Jacob Garcia, Eric Garcia, Xavier Mora and Anselmo Mora. Teresa was born in Alameda, California on August 6, 1957. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Fremont. Teresa was a caregiver most her life, whether it be nieces/nephews, cousins or her brief work at a daycare center, but most importantly, caring for her mother. Teresa lived a majority of her life in Fremont. She briefly lived in Union City and spent the last two years of her life living in Hollister with her nephew Salvador and his wife Tracee and their four children. Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family. She looked forward to celebrating every holiday or special occasion with them. Teresa was an avid reader, enjoyed completing word searches, attending bible study, listening music, her favorite singer was Selena. Teresa loved playing Uno and Go Fish with her great-nieces and nephews. She was very competitive, and despised her losses as much as she enjoyed her occasional victories. Teresa loved music and dancing. Nothing, not even her physical disabilities could keep her from the dance floor. Teresa always had a smile on her face, it would shine thru during the toughest of times. Teresa will be missed.
