April 26, 1955 ~ September 19, 2019

Resided in: Union City, California

Timothy Wong, 64, of Union City, CA, passed away on September 19, 2019. He was born to parents, Kwong Chi Wong and Lai Fong Wong (Young), on April 26, 1955, in Kowloon, Hong Kong before immigrating to the United States in the 1970’s. He was the 9th of 12 children. Tim owned and operated Best Maintenance Performance (BMP Locksmith) and worked as a locksmith for over 30 years. He looked forward to retiring in the next few years and talked a lot recently about building a commune in Northern California, away from the hustle and bustle, so he and his kids could all be together. Tim loved fishing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with loved ones. He was a hard-working man with a big heart and generous spirit. He never missed an opportunity to help someone when they were down on their luck and would go to great lengths just to make things easier for someone else. Anyone who knew Tim knew that anything he had was yours if you needed it and that you could depend on him for anything, anytime. He was also a proud inventor of #dadjokes. Tim met his late wife, Margaret, in the mid-80's. They were married on December 30, 1995 in Hayward, California. Together they raised one child, Sebrina. Tim also raised three children, Timothy, Antonia, and Santino, together with Margaret, as well as with their late mother, Patricia (“Tasha”) Alba. Though blended families were still relatively uncommon back then, they each served as a loving example of what parents do for their children, regardless of the circumstances. Tim is survived by his four children, Timothy, Antonia, Santino, and Sebrina, his son-in-law Aaron Magdangal, and four grandchildren, Santino (“Nino”) Wong, Patricia Wong, Benedicte Magdangal, and Gael Magdangal. He is also survived by three brothers, six sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws from each family he was a part of, plus countless chosen family. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Elks Lodge 2121 38991 Farwell Dr in Fremont, CA.
