Tony E. Espinoza passed away on October 6, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born on March 26, 1954 in Oakland, California to Ernest Espinoza and Eleanor Lauterwasser. Tony was married for 46 years to his loving wife Elsa and together they raised two sons, Tony Jr. and Eric, and a daughter Monica. His love for his family inspired Tony to fight hard through the fifteen years of illness. Tony was a man devoted and deeply love for his family. He was loved by everyone.

Tony had a passion for sports and fitness, from joining his elementary school baseball team to his high school days of wrestling and football. He graduated from Kennedy High School in 1972. His athleticism continued throughout his adulthood with him playing on United Motors’ employee softball team, rowing Hawaiian outrigger boats, and hiking Mission Peak with his two sons. Tony was generous in sharing his skills through training others for competitive body building, as well as coaching his sons’ baseball teams.

He is survived by his wife Elsa, son Tony Jr., mother Eleanor, two sisters Teresa and Kathy, and brother Ty. He is preceded in death by his father Ernest as well as his son Eric and daughter Monica.

Tony, thank you for giving our family all these years together and all your love. You fought so hard, and with all our love we will miss you so much. Love always with open heart and soul.

A visitation for Tony will be held on Saturday October 16, 2021 at 9:30 AM with a rosary at 10:00 AM at Berge-Pappas-Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA. A funeral mass will be at 12:00 AM sharp at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 41933 Blacow Rd., Fremont, CA with a committal service immediately to follow at Irvington Memorial Cemetery, 41001 Chapel Way, Fremont, CA.

Remember Tony fought hard to be there through out his illness, you both took such good care of him daily to help him as well as Eric.
