TRIBUTE TO WILLIAM EDMUND SHIPWAY By Cindy Tremblay-Shipway Thank You Lord for all our blessings. Today, we especially thank you for the life memories we shared with our brother in Christ , Bill Shipway. We are still numb and brokenhearted with grief. Be with us Lord. As we mourn his death and adjust to our life without him. The passing of our dear, faithful, loved one has hit us hard. Our love and friendship grew over many years of shared life experiences. The depth of our love for each other carried us through many good times and some bad times too. His sudden death has left us sad, confused, disoriented, and lonely. Dear Lord, help to heal our pain with Your compassion, love, mercy and guidance. Our faith and trust of reuniting with him again in Your heavenly home is consolation during this very difficult time. Keep strong our faith, for us, and all those who cared for Bill. As a source of support and comfort. Until we join him in the light of Your glory in Your promise of eternal life, peace, happiness and love. Please help heal our suffering spirits from the sorrow, anguish and despair we feel from his passing. In the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, may Bill celebrate with you in glory and may he rest in everlasting peace. In the name of the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  1. I had the privilege of working with Bill for 20 years. What an artist. We had some great discussions. I always knew when I asked him to do something, I could count on him to get it done. I’ll see you in heaven Bill. Love Kriss Costa

  2. I’ll always remember Bill’s humor and laugh. We were lucky to have been living there to take in a couple years’ Halloween parties. So sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and Lawrence, Cindy. Friend and colleague, Belinda Chou, Oconto Falls WI.

  4. I will try to get there with Lawrence and flowers but I ‘m stuck on a mourning dress, in size 8. If anyone has any idea where I can get one in this area so quickly, please call me. Thanks for your kindness. Widow Shipway

  5. Do you have a schedule for the Roaring camp event. Like what time is the battle? And what time do you need us there for the Cannon Salute?Either answer me at frodo7@netzero.net or phone me I’m in the book. Widow Shipway

  6. I heard from Mark this morning that there is a memorial day service at 9:30am, then afternoon battle at 2pm. He wants to hear from anyone who knows about the cannon salute, Will that be at the morning memorial day service or another time during the day. I am looking for anyone from our local area who plans to attend and could pick me up very early Memorial Day morning to arrive at Roaring camp by 9am. Lawrence may arrive earlier with Charlie Maybe. Thanks, Widow Shipway

  7. Kriss, Bill considered you to be one of his best friends. It was so nice of you to drive the long distance to attend his service. My broken heart, felt all the love in the church for my dear departed husband, and it was a Blessing from God. I felt the sincere condolences and prayers provided the strength I needed to get through that sad occasion. Don’t forget about the leather working tools, lots of leather also. And have George, keep his eye out at the dog pound for our new dog? Medium size, friendly, past the potty training stage, you both know a good animal when you meet them.God Bless You, Cindy and Lawrence

  8. Seeing you was so fun. Sorry if I was super stressed. Just so many tasks to complete and Bill has been my driver (and dishwasher) since I injured my knee. I loved seeing your pictures and getting updates on Lisa and Peter. I believe they attended a few Birthday Parties here also. You’re a good friend and we met when we were assigned to share a voice mail box. The good old days when we were actively working, young and healthy nurses. We walked some difficult roads together. I will never forget you happened to be here for Peters’ Graduation from U.C.Berkley, and actually made time for me and Lawrence. Keep us in your prayers. Love Cindy and Lawrence

  9. Nayer , Bill hated it when you moved to San Mateo Co Vector Control .He would always look at my bountiful harvest of fruits and vegetables and say”Nayer will like that”. And off to work he would go, organic produce in hand for Nayer. Thanks for being such a kind and true friend to my husband. You are a very special lady. Thanks for calling, and coming to say good-bye. Until we meet again. Love Cindy and Lawrence

  10. I miss my Daddy soooo much! I miss his humor, his laughter, his smile and his unconditional love. He was such an Amazing Dad and a Wonderful Man. My life will never be the same without him. Rest in Peace Daddy, you are forever in my heart! Thank you for making my life so extraordinary! I Love You!
Love Always, your Daughter, Jessica Shipway.

  11. On behalf of the entire Loop family… we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to all the entire Shipway family. While our time with Bill was limited, we enjoyed the years we did have. He was responsible for Norm’s involvement with remote-control model boats, and encouraged Norm to participate in racing, and to build his own boat, the “Jo An.” We had many happy times as a family at different parks, picnicking and watching the guys (Bill and Norm) race their boats.

Our hearts go out to all who are suffering… because we lost a good man, who was responsible for a lot of happiness. God Bless all of you, and give you peace, knowing Jesus has welcomed him with open arms. And perhaps Bill will hook up with Norm, and they can talk about all the “good old days.”

We will continue to pray for His blessings on all the Shipway family.

With Love, from all the Loop Group
