William Edward Leach

William (Bill, Babe, Uncle Babe, Ed) Edward Leach, age 77, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, February 11, 2014. Bill was born on August 12, 1936 in Eagle Rock, CA. He was a U.S. Navy Seabee Veteran. He was also a mechanic at Fleming Foods and an active Committee Man, working closely for UAW Local 1364. He was greatly known in his community for his sense of humor, quick wit, strong personality, and tremendous generosity. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Bill will be remembered and deeply missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Cathy, brother Nano (Joey) Chargualaf, sis Annie Berry, daughters Debbie (Kurt) Enochs, Sally Leach, and Susie (Hefy) Mount, grandchildren Johnny (Irene), Shannon, Jehrad, Jason, Justin, Tawny, and Allison, great-grandchildren Taylor, Curtis, Abigail, Jayla, and soon-to-be Nathaniel, many nieces and nephews, and his constant companion Baby Dog. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:30am at Berge Pappas Smith Chapel. A reception to celebrate his life will follow the service at 12:00pm and will be located at his home.
